ADAM's basics

This is ADAM's fourth season coming out with a live runway show. What I like about ADAM is the designer's tendency to create a few key pieces. These basics offer great versatility and can be worn in a variety of different ways. While his line didn't make for a "jaw-dropping" show, a few basic pieces stood out:
1) Plain white dress: nothing says Spring like a casual white dress. It is finally acceptable to sport a dress that can either be worn alone or with a pastel cardi and colorful earrings.

2) Statement skirt: skirts have always added a certain sophistication for a women to wear for a special occasion or a day at the office. We've seen skirts make a come back these past couple seasons as a great alternative to wearing a dress. High waisted skirts, either bold or printed, have been catching our attention because if its fixation on a women's waist and natural curves. I love this embellished skirt paired with a plain white blouse. The attention goes straight to the skirt. However,I would probably tuck the shirt in the emphasize the waist.

3) Brown heeled sandals: heels have kicked it up a notch the past season or two. Women are enjoying buying "strappy" heels. Black was widely popular this past winter. Brown will offer a better compliment to those tan legs and pastel summer dresses. These shoes are sure to add a more dressier and feminine feel that the average flat sandal would.

Its still cold and I'm ready for SPRING

So every season I go on style.com and look at every single fashion show from every single designer. In light of trying to get in the spirit of Spring, I am going to pick a different designer everyday and showcase what I believe are their most winning looks. There is a lot to look forward to this Spring! Especially the colors! While I would die to be able to go out and buy all those expensive designers duds, I instead try to go out and put together less expensive look-a-likes. Phillip Lim has been a up and coming designer who has made it really big the past couple years. I look forward to what he has in store each season. His clothes just get better and better! Here are some of my favorite looks:

1) Slouchy trousers...I really think that these updated "mommy pants" are going to make a comeback...Well at least in my closet! Great to wear to work or glam it up with a flowy blouse. I still love me some skinny jeans, but I think these are a great addition to anyone's wardrobe. Ashley Olsen and Sienna Miller have been spotted sporting these pants.
2) High-waisted trouser shorts. I have occasionally seen them around the stores but I have yet to see them on many people. The high waisted skirt has been a huge hit this past year. These shorts are sure to create an updated classy "Blair Waldorf" look...NOT those tight and snug "hot pants." I also think the "statement necklace" will continue to be popular in the Spring...as it slowy has been emerging the past couple seasons...They can really make a plan tee or dress stand out.
3) Flowy dresses that shine in the light. His ultra-feminine dresses are sure to be a show stopper with the their hint of shine...A shine that will highlight all the right things on a woman's face. Here are a few of my favs...(I always love a great cream or light grey dress!)
4) Red heels for that last bit of PIZAZZ. I especially love the dark gold mini dress with the ruby red booties! BAMMM baby.
5) Lately its all been about the DETAIL. Lace. Ruffles. Embroidery. Phillip likes to put a unique spin on the detail of the front side of his dresses (A main focal point) I really like the mix of the lavender/purple/grey mix with the black dress...Almost looks that a work of art on a black canvas.

I also LOVE the use of the colors black and grey with a hint of SPARKLES! Adding a shiny costume necklace is sooo pretty:)

PALE is the new tan

After years of getting sunburned and going mystic tanning before prom, I have finally changed my mindset. Yes, I'll admit that having a little bit of color looks great (even with the help of a little pink blush or bronzer). So while "tanning" is such a big business especially among young girls (and maybe even some boys out there)...I think going without all that color is BEAUTIFUL and STUNNING and AU NATURAL.

Why am I doing this???

Yay! My first blog! After having been searching for a part-time job in a clothing store for the past 2-3 weeks and finding absolutely no luck, I decided to create a blog to express just how passionate I am about the wonderful world of fashion. Hence this is where my "FashPassion" title comes from. My passion for fashion started at a young age. In my down time I spend numerous HOURS cutting out clippings of my favorite pieces of clothing, creating lookbooks on the the latest fashion shows, and stalking the hits and miss of the latest celebrity trend setters. It seems I have an obsession. Yes. When I have a passion for something, I am determined to make it a big part of my life. Throughout my life, I have managed to have a strong relationship with my family and friends, getting and maintaining good grades, and playing college soccer (well for a year until my passion for it diminished). AND NOW as I am about to graduate college I am determined to pursue my next passion: a career in the fashion industry. I truly believe anything is possible and nothing is unreachable if you believe in yourself and your dreams.

This blog will serve not only as a "hot spot" for EVERYTHING FASHION...but it will also serve as a point of inspiration for anyone who has a dream and is determined to make it a reality. ENJOY!

I will leave on this note...

"Don't give up. Don't EVER give up"
