Beyond Vintage?
A brand I discovered while shopping at Cusp by Neiman Marcus...I don't know if it is "beyond" but it is "within" the vintage category...

Some of my FAV Carrie Bradshaw Looks from SITC2 ---Halston
Quite a few looks that Sarah Jessica Parker wore on Sex in the City 2 were from Halston...or more specifically Halston Heritage. The prices of these items aren't bad either (relatively speaking...not as bad as the HIGH fashion price tags in the thousands) Obviously, I love the fashion of that Carrie Bradshaw has experimented with for the past ten years. Some people don't get it - fashion is all about creativity and artistic expression. Well, to some people it is! Anyway there were FOUR looks from Halston that Carrie wore during Sex in the City 2. FOUR phenomenal looks. She was actually rumored to make future contributions in the design process.

Beginning of the movie...wearing sparkly Christian Louboutin shoes of course:)

Say it with me now...Carrotts and Diet Coke
This is the diet you must consume in order to be able to wear on one of the dresses from Hervé Léger by Max Azria's collection. The launch of this sub-brand of two years has grabbed young celebrity fans to likes of the cast of Gossip Girl to anyone else who can afford one (both physically and financially). Well you know what they say, if you got - it flaunt it! It seems everyone who is young and a part of the "going out scene" is most likely to wear a form fitting/body conscious dresses - a huge inspiration from Hervé. The body conscious bondage dress is certainly the signature look of this line, so there wasn't much new to this collection except the coloring/prints/fabrics/and new techniques (crochet perhaps?) Even some swimwear and denim were added to the mix! So if your planning on flaunting either a new chiseled body or if you've had one for years - be sure to buy one of these suckers for an night on the town. You'll be sure to impress the fellas for sure.

A Rockin' Summer at Givenchy (Spring Collection 2010)
Givenchy is widely popular these days. For this collection, he showed an array of three different looks: dark and tailored, psychedelic, and romantic. Three separate thought patterns that you would never think to put together - but I think he achieved the collaboration of all three. I thoroughly enjoyed the pairing of tailored blazers with pantsuits. Perhaps this is something we will start seeing more and more of? (I never thought I'd see the day of the return of pantsuits!) But this is a more refined and structured take on the pantsuit. I obviously loved the ruffled and draped cocktail dresses paired some kick ass Givenchy shoes. I thought the green psychedelic prints (as he referred to it as) were interesting as separate pieces. What look is your favorite?
