Rachel Roy Fall 2010

I liked Rachel Ray's fall collection because she succeeds at taking what would be considered average pieces and transforming them into works of art...or perhaps just better versions of them.
Rachel Roy Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Not just an everyday pant suit with the great pocket detail, a plunging neckline and a pair of rockin shoes.
Rachel Roy Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
I like the play on the different greys...I also like how the print on the dress looks tattooed on.
Rachel Roy Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Metallic silk seems to be a popular fabric on the fall collections. This neutral color is great.
Rachel Roy Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Again, certainly not your average suit...The unique detail and use of texture is wonderful.

This suit is sure to make heads turn. I don't like the color, yet I like the style of the flares on the jacket.

proenza schouler fall 2010

While I don't consider myself to be a "Proenza girl" - I have been amazed by what these young gentlemen have accomplished in such a short time. I think they have managed to create a something unique that is true to what they want to portray. They have an interesting and youthful take on their clothes. It is very rocker meets rebel meets chic... Their ideal girl is somewhat indescribable because no one really creates a look like theirs. It kind of makes me think that this girl is a younger Givenchy customer.

What I liked most about the collection for fall was the use of black and the attitude that pulled it all together. I like the pieces by themselves and paired together. Here are a few great outifts:
Proenza Schouler Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Super cute jacket. Really like the sexy stockings and clogged booties.
Proenza Schouler Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
I thought the see-through blouse was beautifully paired with the little dress.
Proenza Schouler Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Great and cute jacket paired with a high waisted mini skirt.
Proenza Schouler Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Like the bold color of the blue jacket in this look. I also the the new take on the cropped varsity jacket.
Proenza Schouler Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Thought this print was so great!! I am amazed at the fabulous prints that these designers use in their shows. This is kind of like a twisted plaid print.
Proenza Schouler Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Basically really love the green color paired with the black backdrop.

Philosophy Fall 2010

I am a pretty avid fan of Alberta Ferretti mostly because she is fairly literal in what she is trying to deliver - an array of frilly tops and dresses for the inner girl in us all. Here are a few a great pieces that I liked in both black and grey.

Peter Jensen Fall 2010

Going through the collections, I am typically drawn to the same designers. Every now and then I come across a designer that I have never heard of before yet end up loving the collection. This happens every once in a while...I especially really get excited when I feel that someone has created a collection unlike most others. I tend to appreciate designers for their uniqueness rather than their "on trendiness." Well this is something I felt when I saw Peter Jenson's collection.

I haven't seen a lot of plaid for fall, yet I still believe that it is something to hold on to. At least in my eyes...For Peter Jenson's collection he used the season's velvet and created plaid separates. I only like classic and subtle plaids - which I think he managed to accomplish in a beautiful way. I don't like how plaid is sometimes used to look grungy and careless...kind of how some people choose to look these days...making unconformity seem like well...conformity when everyone decides to look like they rolled off a farm but overpaid for the look to begin with.

Well, I like the girly twirly look and so I felt this collection was anything but boring.
Peter Jensen Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Really pretty plaid paired with a great blue colored dress.
Peter Jensen Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Love the colors and the style of the shorts.
Peter Jensen Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Beautiful blue color in velvet.
Peter Jensen Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
I mostly appreciate the ruffled slip that is worn underneath this class grey dress.
Peter Jensen Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Pretty touch of pink makes an average outfit stand out.
Peter Jensen Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Like the fur jacket the most.
Peter Jensen Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Cute little preppy look.
Peter Jensen Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Typical look...but really like the shoes.
Peter Jensen Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Really cute...the shoes bring it all together.
Peter Jensen Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
The white dresses were my favorite part of this collection..shocker I know...but there is something so versatile and simple behind a simple white dress. Little white dress anyone?

organic by john patrick fall 2010

Here are a few pieces that caught my attention...
Organic by John Patrick Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Like the mix of the light heather grey with the soft blue oxford blouse...I also like the chic oxford high heels.
Organic by John Patrick Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Like the cut of the dress, although the material isn't really my style.
Organic by John Patrick Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
I think the occasional plaid outfit can be kind of fun when you are young...I really like it paired with the tailored peak lapel jacket.

Nina Ricci Fall 2010

What mostly draws my attention to Nina Ricci is the superfluous amounts of romanticism and femininity. Although, it takes a certain person with a certain style to pull copious amounts of florals off...Nonetheless, I think hints of the floral detail can be versatile for most people's wardrobes - it adds a whole lot of "girly" to an outfit. However, I always enjoy offsetting a "girly" piece with a masculine piece or just a simple piece.
Nina Ricci Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
I love a narrow pant and I thought it was beautifully aired with the floral top and and loden green jacket.
Nina Ricci Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
The sleeves may be a little overwhelming, however I utterly loved the color and I feel this look has a lot of youth to it.
Nina Ricci Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
This ivory/pinkish cardigan is a great color to transition from summer to fall into winter...I think it is a nice alternative to a girl's fall wardrobe as opposed to dark colors.
Nina Ricci Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
I actually would never wear this dress because I think it is too overwhelming...but I love the different colors meshed together and I think a lot of inspiration can be pulled from this piece into a more subdued dress.
Nina Ricci Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
I felt this red blouse was a great compliment to the floral skirt. A little bit better than the above outfit.
Nina Ricci Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
So elegant and chic!!! This is an ultra sexy romantic dress that can be worn to a holiday event.
Nina Ricci Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
This dress is simple yet so sexy - it shows off all the great aspects of the woman's body.
Nina Ricci Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Simple and old-fashioned - yet this look is so flattering on most body types and ages.
Nina Ricci Fall 2010 Ready-to-Wear
Beautiful dress paired with a black cloak...I think this cloak adds a certain drama and elegance to the entire look.
