John Galliano designed a lingerie inspired collection of sorts. So while I was not a huge fan of the barely there sheer dresses - I did admire the 50s inspired old hollywood glamour where the bright red lip was a key focal point as well as the pin-up girl hair do.

A Garden Party in the City...Christian Cota Spring 2010
Ever think there is some sort of secret garden behind the tall and and treacherous buildings of New York City? Christian Cota wanted the woman to "look like she was blooming" - which was very true in many aspects. Florals are a typical print and inspiration for spring, but it was a good way of putting it.
The collection was in fact "blooming" - full of ladylike dresses, floral printed separates, flouncy suits, draped dresses, and high-waisted pencil skirts. Every piece was very clean and girly - great additions for a spring wardrobe. Some looks didn't quite fit, but I felt the designer had some great key pieces - and for a up and coming designer, that is all we can ask for!

Bright-eyed and fresh faced at Chloe Spring 2010
The review that came in regarding Chloe's Spring Collection was sub-par to say the least. "Boring" would have been the most straightforward way to have put it. I happen to love the line the Chloe had turned out for Spring. I embrace anything that has to do with the art of fashion. Chloe used a large amount of biege, white, creams, greens, blues, and browns. Although I feel the Chloe brand has not managed to stay consistent for the past 5 or so years, I think there is a lot to say for this collection - especially the beauty. Spring should not be about piling on the make-up. A hint of a tan is enough for a beautiful look in the summer - only to be enhanced by a great bronzer (I love Bobby Brown's 'Maui' bronzer) and a little mascara to widen the eyes. Carefree is the way to go!
When Rough Meets Soft, Charlotte Ronson Spring 2010
Charlotte Ronson is a beautiful designer who always manages to design a variety of edgy looks. She steers clear of only designing flirty party dresses. This season at Charlotte Ronson we see a variety of separates including tailored vests, structured bodysuits, girly high-waisted shorts, casual collared shirts, and the season's awesome utility jackets.
I see this season's show as a mix between rough and soft. The "soft" is seen in the pretty pinks and blues adorned with bows paired with "rough" rockstar belts and shoes. This collection embodies the epitome of street cool - with a flirty touch.
Mary-Kate's green jacket!
Mary-Kate Olsen attended the grand opening of Otarian Restaurant on April 14 . I thought she looked beautiful in her bright jacket and black tunic...what do you think?

BCBG Spring 2010...Hakuna Matata
There is no better time than now for a young hot number in her twenties to strut her stuff on a night out on the town in a BCBG frock. Max and Lubov Azria are a pair of designers who love to keep their line youthful and fresh. This season we see an array of fabulous bright tribal prints, form fitting party dresses, and new an excited hemlines. I really enjoyed seeing a mix of black with bright prints. One would never think to wear black in the Spring time...but this is a great and new trend to try out! Here are some of my favorite looks:
