Pre-Fall 2010 at Elie Tahari...Keepin it Corporate

Elie Tahari has managed to build a global empire of womenswear, accessories, and menswear over the past 37 years. Its hard to believe that the designer started off from making a few t-shirts a day into selling highly demanded clothing all around the world! The brand continues to stay consistently modern and classic, continuing to allure its devoted consumers. The success of the designer is larger than life, mainly due to a consistant focus on the real women who wear these clothes on a day to day basis. It is easy to get caught up in the "trend of the moment." Elie certainly doesn't fall victim to the hype that the fashion industry ensues at times. He designs for what people want day in and day out.

He aims to attract the up and coming young professionals in her twenties to the established entrepreneur in her 50s. He designs high quality suits for the 9 to 5 office girl, a variety of impeccable coats for those pesky winters in the city, tailored dresses for those much needed cocktails on Friday nights, flowy blouses that can be worn with anything, and comfortable pants that are stylishly convenient to where casually. The colors he uses tend to stick to solid blacks, grays, browns, and burnt oranges in the fall...whites, beiges, soft grays for the spring. He likes to throw in a few pieces with interesting fabrics and prints as well. Nothing is too predictable, but one thing is for sure: this reputable line is here to last for generations.

This pre-fall collection gave an inside look into a more youthful line. Some of the pants were a little tighter and the hems a bit higher...yet still maintaining the brand's main focus:
